I’ve always been a ‘hands on’ kind of person. The idea of being able to help people, to lessen pain, to relax, to reconnect with their body and inner self, was very attractive.

My interest in healing started as a gymnast and a high school injury. It progressed as I coached gymnasts & tumbling students, evaluated injuries and how to prevent them. The way the body moves, feels pain when it’s telling us something, and how it heals is fascinating to me. Really the things we are able to do, the use and abuse we put ourselves through, is incredibly beautiful and is not less so as we age.

After my children had grown to an age where they didn’t need me so much, in 2015 I started training at Oregon School of Massage and was licensed in 2017. My areas of study have included: hot stone, lomi lomi, reiki, craniosacral, thai massage and barefoot shiatsu. Many of these have influenced my work, all have lead me to a greater desire to help people overcome pain and limitations to movement.

This fascination only grew after massage school, further recognizing how interconnected we are, body, mind & spirit. Our emotions can physically affect us, just as pain affects our whole self.

My massage style is largely intuitive. I focus on the body and what it tells me about itself. I work to release muscle tension and restrictions to facilitate movement, through pressure, deep tissue, movement & heat.

I also counsel self-care as I feel strongly that it’s critically important to our longevity, and an often overlooked aspect of health in our society. I truly believe that massage can be such a wonderful way to take care of ourselves, to take time for ourselves, to rest, to heal and to accept positive touch.
