The Global Negotiator Partnership mission for the National Police of the Ukraine comes to a close, but the impact of this work is just beginning.

A cadre of 4 CSM Instructors delivered 10 days of advanced training to crisis negotiators from every region of Ukraine. The training took place in Estonia at a beautiful state of the art training facility: Estonian Academy of Security Sciences. Our Ukrainian peers possessed an exceptional foundation of crisis negotiation skills, and we deeply appreciate whoever delivered their basic training because these negotiators showed up well trained, experienced, and ready to further their skills.

Across borders, across languages, and across different operational environments, one thing remains constant: the need for human connection. And even if we don’t “speak” the same language, we listen in the same language.

Crisis negotiation has always been about understanding people in their worst moments. That doesn’t change with geography or politics.

This is where the future of international crisis negotiation is headed. Not a one-size-fits-all approach, but partnerships.

Listening first. Building alongside those who will carry the work forward long after we leave.

In this case, Three countries. One mission. A collaborative effort grounded in trust, adaptability, and mutual respect.

We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside our Ukrainian and Estonian partners and contribute to something that will continue to grow.

God Bless the Ukraine, God Bless Estonia and God Bless America

Until victory 🇺🇦

Congratulations to Washington County Oregon for their brilliant win at that this year‘s WSHNA Negotiators Challenge!

This is a team that has proven something very special over the years. They’ve learned to integrate new people and lose great negotiators with no degradation to their skill and commitment. Most teams have an ebb and flow, but this team stays on their game consistently.

Look forward to seeing them at nationals!
