The Scalawags are a FIRST Robotics Team looking to recruit any and all Scoring the most points is a secondary goal.
The FIRST Robotics Competition challenges teams of young people and their mentors to solve a common problem in a six-week time frame using a standard "kit of parts" and a common set of rules. Teams build robots from the parts and enter them in competitions designed by Dean Kamen, Dr. Woodie Flowers, and a committee of engineers and other professionals. The Scalawags are raising funds for our 2027 competition season. We are washing cars for free (donations gladly accepted) and collecting cans and bottles THIS Saturday at the LHS Track, from 12 to 3 pm. See you there!
