We're aware of an ongoing phone scam in which people are receiving calls spoofing Phoenix PD's Crime Stop phone number (602-262-6151), impersonating police or government officials and requesting some form of payment. This number is not used for outgoing calls.

Phoenix PD will never contact you to solicit money and we urge you to be cautious when giving personal information online or over the phone.

You can contact PPD at 602-262-6151 to verify any calls you receive from the department.

Trash and recycling pickup is tomorrow (Friday.) Make sure those electronics boxes have been broken down and put into your recycling bin!

IMPORTANT: On Wednesday, Oct. 4th at 2:20 p.m. ET, there will be a nationwide emergency alert test on cell phones, wireless devices, radios, and TVs.

This is a standard test that occurs at least once every three years. No action is needed.

REMINDER - Our Community Action Officer is unavailable tonight for Coffee With A Cop. We will have a block watch meeting covering the block watches nearest the 51st Ave and Baseline intersection.

On hand will be a few examples of the signage available for purchase through the Phoenix Neighborhood Patrol and through block watch. This meeting is in-person at the Cesar Chavez Community Center at 6pm in the Gaming Room. We will see you there!
