I hosted my first ever virtual music recital today, and I was amazed and inspired by my students. I learned tons, and although it wasn't perfect, it was so worth it.
Music wins again!

Music students should listen to music, as well as practice. Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock n Roll---it's all good.
Listening to music is inspiring, and now we find out, it's also good for you!

Everyone seems motivated about summer lessons this year, and I have decided to get everyone into music composition this summer.
Long summer days lend themselves to creativity and inspiration. I started composing when I was very young, and my brain would get flooded with ideas just gazing at the clear blue sky.
So, start humming and singing your melodies. Remember, your unique music begins in your own heart and mind. We will polish them and notate them this coming summer.

So practice, practice, practice, everyone!
