The emotional toll of having a sick child is overwhelming, and for families without reliable transportation, the stress can be unbearable.

During Mental Health Awareness Month this May, we’re grateful for the important connection our drivers provide to families who are dealing with the emotional effects of their child’s long-term illness or health crisis. The connection we’re able to provide to the larger community helps families feel less isolated and a little more supported, and it’s all thanks to drivers and donors like you.

A big thank-you to our incredible volunteers for helping grow our monthly active driver count from 45 in February to 46 in March.

That may sound like a small change, but EVERY additional driver means more opportunities to serve families and more children getting to the essential medical care they need. Because of you, our impact continues to grow!

We’re so grateful for the time, care, and commitment our volunteer drivers bring to this mission every single month.

And a quick reminder for our drivers: mileage reimbursement is available at $0.70 per passenger mile, reimbursed monthly. Drivers also have the option to donate mileage back at $0.14 per mile if they choose.
