Sad News - Mike MacColeman, our owner and visionary, passed away unexpectedly this past Thursday. Funeral arrangements are being held up north at the family home. Mike loved being out and about at the center and talking with everyone. May he rest in peace and may his memory be for a blessing.

Time for an update!

Hi everyone,

It’s been a week since we had to close due to a fire. Here’s where we are at: on Monday, 4/28, a construction trailer caught fire and exploded in the parking lot next door which then spread to our building. Luckily, the fire department was shopping for groceries across the street and was able to quickly respond. We have been told that if they were not across the street at the time, we probably would have lost the whole building.

As it is, we have an incredible amount of damage from smoke, soot and water. There is an amazing crew from Servpro consisting of multiple shifts per day and around 40-60 people per shift working to clean up. We have been told this will continue until mid-May.

We are working with our insurance company to assess the damage and how best to move forward. This is not a quick process, unfortunately. The fire did cause considerable damage to the roof and east end of the building in addition to the smoke and soot throughtout the rest of the center. So there is a lot of work to do in order to reopen. We do not have a date for re-opening yet. We will continue to update here on Facebook, so stay tuned. As soon as we know, you’ll know!

Hi everyone,

As you may have heard on the news today, we unfortunately had a building fire. Luckily, it was before opening with minimal staff on site and everyone was able to get out safely.

We do know there is damage, but until we are allowed back inside we do not know how bad that damage is or how long it will take to fix it and reopen. If you have a reservation or event, we will be in touch.

Many thanks to the fire and police departments of Lansing for their quick response and hard work. We appreciate you!
