Personnel World, Inc. is partnering with a Lansing-area company to hire a full-time Field Service Technician.
This role combines shop repairs with field service throughout Michigan (occasional travel to Indiana), with a company vehicle provided for service calls. You'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial equipment, handle mechanical, electrical, and battery-related repairs, complete preventative maintenance and inspections, and document work orders on a tablet or laptop.
Compensation and schedule: $23.00–$29.00/hour based on experience, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, no regularly scheduled weekends.
Who we're looking for: hands-on mechanical, maintenance, automotive, or equipment repair experience; strong troubleshooting skills; basic electrical knowledge (12V experience is a plus); comfort working independently in the field; a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. Prior commercial equipment experience is not required — backgrounds in automotive repair, small engines, industrial maintenance, forklifts, appliances, or similar mechanical systems are all welcome.
