🏆 Rook Tournament Results 🏆

Congratulations to Junior Ross and Wayne Prewitt for taking home 1st place last night!

A big shoutout to Robert Floyd and Everett Floyd for coming in 2nd place and keeping the competition going.

We only had two teams, but we still had a great time, plenty of laughs, and some good card playing. Thank y’all for coming out and supporting The Rusted Pot. It means more than you know. ❤️

You can get it in a cone or a bowl. No judgment here. If this heat keeps up, I may start serving it by the shovel.

These are the flavors I’m starting with until I see what y’all like.

Folks, I wanted to take a minute to explain a few changes to the menu.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to remove some menu items that simply weren’t selling well and adjust the prices on a few others. Trust me, this wasn’t something I wanted to do.

I will always be 100% transparent with y’all. The reality is that being busy 2, maybe 3 days a week just isn’t enough to keep a restaurant going. The cost of groceries—especially beef—has gotten higher than a Georgia pine, and every week it seems like something else goes up.

As a small business owner, I have to make decisions based on what is actually selling and what it costs to keep the doors open. That’s why some items had to go, and some prices had to change.

I want y’all to know that I’m not profiting off these increases. Everything this place makes goes right back into the business—food costs, utilities, supplies, equipment, and all the other expenses that come with running a restaurant. Truthfully, most days I’m just trying to stay ahead of the next bill.

I love what I do, and I love serving this community. My goal isn’t to get rich; it’s to build something that lasts. I’d rather make a few necessary changes now than wake up one day and have to lock the doors for good.

Thank y’all for your support, your understanding, and for every meal you’ve purchased, every post you’ve shared, and every kind word you’ve spoken about The Rusted Pot. It means more than you’ll ever know.

Well, I’m back from a much-needed vacation, and I have to say—I truly missed being here and cooking for y’all. The beach was great, the relaxation was even better, but there’s something special about being back home and serving this community.

Thank you to everyone who supported us before we left and for all the messages while we were gone. We’re rested, recharged, and ready to get back to doing what we love.
