Opportunities to foster health and wellness can be practiced beyond the walls of a medical center.
As part of Lankenau Medical Centerโs master plan expansion, RGS Associates designed a half-acre, year-round organic garden that supports nutrition, education, and restorative experiences.
A productive, sustainable landscape was created by including:
- Raised beds
- A greenhouse
- An outdoor classroom
- A pavilion
- On-site composting
- Efficient irrigation
The garden also provides hands-on learning opportunities for approximately 10,000 visiting children each year, while offering patients, visitors, and staff a welcoming place to pause, connect, and recharge.

What shapes a first impression?
At Harriton Farm, that question found an answer rooted in history, the landscape, and a carefully planned sense of arrival.
RGS helped integrate seven historic buildings into a community of 28 new single-family homes across the 55-acre property, while preserving sensitive site features and creating an open-space network of natural areas, walking trails, and passive recreation spaces.
The carefully planned approach, garden design, and integration of historic structures with new homes work together to create an experience that feels welcoming, cohesive, and connected to its surroundings.

The strongest design solutions begin with understanding the land and its impact on design outcomes.
Before a project moves forward, a strong site analysis and sound land planning helps define what is possible, what challenges need to be addressed, and how each site can support long-term project goals.
RGS Associates brings this perspective to early planning through site evaluation, permitting coordination, infrastructure planning, circulation and growth strategies. This process helps create a practical framework that guides stronger design decisions.

Project Spotlight | The Courts at Spring Mill Station
In Whitemarsh Township, a former industrial site was reimagined as a connected, transit-oriented community with direct access to Spring Mill Train Station and the Schuylkill River Trail.
RGS Associates supported The Courts at Spring Mill Station through land planning, landscape architecture, and garden design. These efforts helped shape amenity courtyards, streetscapes, gathering areas, and outdoor spaces that serve both residents and the surrounding community.
