It’s not an American holiday if I don’t try and sell you some stuff!
Just a few things that I think have a good value proposition for a holiday weekend adventure. Sorry it’s a little sparse on the product details, I forgot this holiday was coming up so fast!

Walk to work: Emily’s edition! My walk doesn’t usually include any Hot Takes or philosophical thoughts about memetic desire (iykyk)- but it does include pretty flowers, coffee, and community! 😂🥰 it’s super easy to load up my backpack with everything I need for the day and enjoy some outdoor time in the morning. Oh and yes we sell backpacks, sunglasses, sunglasses pouches, and lots of other stuff that makes talking a walk more enjoyable 💜

Ahhh, it’s so hard to make these videos smart and interesting and short. I have no idea if this works.

Anyway, another part of prospect theory is something called “loss aversion” where we emotionally overweight perceived danger or risk. Risks feel twice as risky relative to comparative rewards feel rewardy.
That’s why I’ll be attending the Vision Zero open house at the library tonight, to cheerlead the city’s efforts to make the city a safer place to walk and bike. :)

I love walking to work because it’s a great time to really think about and digest the things I’ve been learning.
It also makes me feel like I’m really part of the place I exist.

Extra info: “memetic” come from "mimesis", which is a philisophical term that basically means mimicry.

I've also read that it stands for “metaphysical”, in that the desire is a sort of metaphysical connection to other people.
