This month, Lauren A. Zehr celebrates her 5-year anniversary as a Producer at LampHouse!

Over the past 5-years Lauren’s fingerprints have been all over each film LampHouse creates. From the biggest challenges, to the smallest details, Lauren balances ambition and feasibility, pulling each concept into the real world.

But most importantly, Lauren does all of this while fostering sets that champion creativity and help us all to achieve our best work!

Incredibly grateful and proud of Catlin Baksa powerful talk at Lancaster’s Next Generation of Lancaster Film Industry Night! Her focus on persistence, curiosity, and clear-visioned collaboration is a vital message for the next generation of filmmakers. Her devotion and enthusiasm remind us all that maintaining clarity in our vision and fostering collaboration are the core processes of bringing thoughtful stories to life.

The concept for our latest film with Western Architectural Openings and multi-layered. It was important to director, Michael Schmucker to bring a sense of cohesion between the more grounded portion of the film, and the fantastical elements.

Michael Schmucker achieved this through working with artist Jaden Drew 🗝ser to storyboard the moments of the film where we transitioned from one world to the next. That helped create the films smooth feel and allowed for the crew to know their transitions would be tight.

A special thank you to Jaden Drew 🗝ser for his artistic vision and to Sebastian Nieves for his keen eye behind the lens.

Bringing this project to life was an unforgettable experience. It offered us a rare opportunity to work in harmony with nature—embracing both its unpredictability and its breathtaking beauty.

The narrative flows fluidly through the lens of a woman’s imagination. Every frame was meticulously timed to align with pure emotion, framing architecture that breathes alongside a landscape that envisions new possibilities and a bolder future. Nature in its highest form—the endless skies, earth, and vibrant vegetation—has left an indelible mark on all of us. Capturing this vision required relentless discipline, precise practice, and scouting the location to track the arc of the sun, mastering the natural light to plan every moment with intention.

Thank you to every single individual whose passion, grit, and endless curiosity brought this vision to life.

In the films for this year’s dinner, we leaned into the event’s theme: “Ordinary People, Extraordinary Impact.”

We captured local movers and shakers living their regular lives – the morning rituals, the business as usual, showing up for themselves and for others – because these are the moments, mundane as they may seem, that all add up to a truly remarkable community.

Ordinary moments have power. To freeze time and emphasize that power, we turned to photography. A still image says: we don’t have to wait for a mystical moment. This, right now, matters.

Using film cameras, rather than digital, forced us to live out the messaging of the film through its medium, waiting for the moment to appear rather than capturing every moment we saw.

We’re grateful to the for bringing us back to create films for their Annual Dinner for a second year. Eager to debut these films Tomorrow night!
