Happy Water Week! We are so excited to be hosting lots of different activities during First Friday to help celebrate Water Week! Lancaster Conservancy will be here handing out seeds, F&M Psychology Department is doing a Draw a Scientist activity, and LSF staff will be running EnviroScape demonstrations!

As always, our standard First Friday rules and guidelines still apply:

We are proud to offer 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟱 - 𝟳 𝗽𝗺 every First Friday! For your safety and enjoyment, 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 is 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝟑𝟎𝟎 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬. Arrive on time to ensure your free admission! Here are some helpful reminders that can ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable First Friday visit:
▪️ Stick together. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦The Lancaster Science Factory has over 80 hands-on exhibits. Many of them are more fun to explore as a family, and some require extra help for young visitors. 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬.
▪️ Treat our exhibits with care. 💓 We work hard to keep our exhibits and facility in good condition. Handling things gently helps ensure they are working for all visitors. 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅.
▪️ Parking Info 🚗 Free parking is available in our marked lot across the street. Overflow parking for First Fridays only is available in the rear of our building. Do not park at the hotel or in spots marked reserved for Urban Place. 𝑾𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈, walking and biking! 🚲
Thank you for your understanding of these measures. They will ensure we can safely keep our Free First Friday events going for everyone.

This Saturday is the Red Rose Run. If you are planning to visit the Science Factory, please note these road closures. In addition to the road closures, there will likely be heavier than normal traffic, so please plan accordingly!

Road closures will include Queen Street, Lemon Street, and Duke Street, starting as early as 6am.

Throwback Thursday! This week, we are taking a look at our Bubble Zone. Now, in addition to the bubble table, we also have a step-in bubble ring and a giant bubble window! The Bubble Zone is one of the most popular areas of our museum!

If you need some help with step one, we recently started selling water bottles for only $5 in our gift shop!

Stop by the Science Cafe on Tuesdays this month to learn about reptiles from Miss Faith!

We are a proud participant in the Blue Star Program, a program that allows current service members and their families free admission to museums across the country. See below for details and eligibility requirements!

⭐Present valid, current Military ID or Spouse/ Dependent ID to receive up to 6 free admissions per ID, per visit. Spouses/ Dependents are eligible to attend even if their sponsor is unable to attend.

⭐This program is only for CURRENT service members and their families, and does not apply to veterans or retirees.

⭐This program runs May 16th through Labor Day
