"It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Sue Davis, a beloved former employee at El Dorado and Joshua Elementary Schools. Her loss is deeply felt by all of us in the Lancaster SD community, and our hearts go out to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sue was not just a dedicated member of the staff; she was a kind and caring soul whose presence brightened our school. If you knew her, I encourage you to lean on one another during this difficult time and reflect on the special moments you shared with her. Sue’s impact on the lives of our students and staff will never be forgotten.

Let us remember Sue for the warmth, care and positivity she brought to all of us. At this time there is no service information but I will share when I know more.

Her memorial service was today. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CareNet Women's Resource Center.

Prayers and condolences for family and friends. 🤗💖🙏 She was devastated when Roger passed a few years ago. Fortunately, they handed over the reigns of the Lancaster Community Orchestra a year before he passed. We continue to keep it thriving and growing, now in both of their names. I will dedicate our Spring Concert on May 4 in her memory.

In addition to her contributions to L*D, she was one of my favorite ushers to work with at the LPAC. RIP Sue. 😎🎶👍🤗💖🙏

Hi all. I received messages on three different text threads, so I will answer on all three of these, plus Messenger, Facebook, and those whom I have on the email thread...

I agree that we need one place for communication. Email is great, but I don't have everyone's email address, nor is it the most responsive communication route. If we decide email, then that will help when I need to get the word out. Speaking of which:

Unfortunately, I need to delay the start of LCO rehearsals by one week. I have a back to school night scheduled at one of my 3 schools until 6:30 on August 15. That will also give me more time to prepare the music, as I recently moved last week and was also preparing to put the house on the market. Once I have the music together, I will upload it and share the drive link.
