Mary Jane co-facilitates our Leaders of Future Generations cohort at Ephrata Intermediate School. She took initiative to collaborate with local businesses to support our young leaders' service-learning projects, and created thank-you cards for all involved.

These students chose to thank local first-responders. Mary Jane truly went the extra mile to ensure the students' goals were met!

It's Build-a-Bear day at Compass Mark! ๐Ÿป๐Ÿป๐Ÿป

Letisha is heading out to deliver bears with their parent's voice recorded inside to children all over Lancaster County. These parents are incarcerated at Lancaster County Prison, and the bear is an important connector between child and parent.

Many thanks to Ambassadors for Hope for helping to fund our Build-a-Bears, which are part of our Families Forward program.

โ€œA meaningful moment for me this semester was when a student from one of my CATCH My Breath va**ng prevention classes completed an assignment in a very honest way. He chose to write about the five ways that e-cigarettes can affect your lifeโ€”he admits that he struggles with ni****ne addiction.

He had some good insight into how it has affected him and he was clear that he doesn't want other people to have the same struggle.โ€

Please help us congratulate Shannon DiCandilo, Chester County Program Manager, for earning our Values in Action recognition this month!

Our Families Forward program supports caregivers of children with a parent in Lancaster County Prison. One caregiver has had a particularly hard time connecting with us to pick up supplies and gifts for her children.

Although her duties lie elsewhere, Shannon offered to drop the items off for mom at home, saving her the effort of trying to reschedule a visit yet again.

The clients served by Letisha & Karizma of Families Forward are often stretched to their limits, either parenting alone, or caregiving a family member's child/ren. Our staff often show care for each other by collaborating to serve the community, while also given encouraged to care for themselves.

Thank you, Shannon, for being a bright light! We know that supporting women and children is never far from your mind. ๐ŸŒŸโœจ๐ŸŒŸ
