Knightmare Girls Rugby

Tonight's practice focused on defense and tackling, but these goofballs somehow turned it into a wrestling match on the pads. Can't wait for our 15's match against Conestoga this weekend to show off our skills.

What an amazing weekend! Our team dominated the 7's series at our home pitch, winning all 3 games. The girls gave it their all and adjusted well to the competition. We're thrilled to have with us, supporting every step of the way. Sam was recognized with the Team Spirit Award for her dedication. Liz was on fire, showcasing new skills that earned her the Rising Star Award! And .rugby34, Kylie led the team with a solid game plan, executing attack strategies and motivating others. Our Hot Pocket was named MVP for the week! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate our seniors. We're looking forward to the state competition on May 10th for 7's and can't wait for our 15's match next week.

Senior week at practice was a blast! The Knightmare's chose some awesome themes to honor our graduating team members. From Knightmare Colors to matching cleats and senior lookalike day, practice was filled with fun, drills, and hot pockets!

Our last Senior to Celebrate is .dipaolo Ava! Ava is one of our most intense players currently in our program. If it were up to her, we would do full-contact practice every single day. This dynamic flanker and center turned Fly half leads by example and commands her team on the field. Ava has helped build on the Knightmare Legacy by coaching rookie rugby and search for community venues for our team to practice during winter. This girl is a force to be reckoned with. Look out ! Her dedication is truly admirable.

Next up is Knee!!! Lily joined us last year and instantly fell head over heels for the game. She's made rapid progress and has become known for her fearless approach, often charging straight into contact with a huge grin. With gradating a year early, we're thrilled to have her for one more year as she preps for college and explores rugby opportunities. Lily's taking a gap year to snag an internship at a farm while she researches top AG programs. We love our Knee!

Senior Week is here!!! This week, we get to honor our incredible seniors who are wrapping up their time with our program. First, we’re spotlighting .rugby34 Kyle Loche, who’s off to the University of Pittsburgh next! Kyle’s an unstoppable force in rugby and wrestling, and an all-around awesome teammate. We’ll miss you, Hot Pocket!

The Knightmare Program pulled together and worked hard for three wins at the Chambersburg 7’s Tournament. Grace, our Rising Star Winner, had an outstanding team try, delivered hard hits, and supported well in rucks. Baya, Our Team Spirit Award, went above and beyond volunteering to play with Etown when they needed players, then rejoined us and made a significant impact. Our MVP, Riley dominated the day with multiple tries and conversions, leading with integrity.
