🌱 More Than Just Family Fun 🌱
Today I had the privilege of facilitating a Rooted in Regulation™ Family Staycation Experience focused on JOY.
Over 3.5 hours, this family laughed, worked together, faced challenges, practiced communication, explored gratitude, and learned healthy ways to express and process difficult emotions.
While there were plenty of games and memorable moments, every activity was intentionally designed to strengthen family connection, emotional well-being, faith, and resilience while embracing JOY through it all.
One of my favorite reminders from today:
💛 Joy is not the absence of hardship.
💛 Joy is learning how to stay connected, hopeful, and supported while moving through it.
Some of the most meaningful family memories aren’t found in expensive vacations—they’re found in intentional moments shared together.
Interested in learning more for your family? Comment STAYCATION and I will personally reach out to you too share not only what this is but how beneficial it is for families!

🌱 TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY 🌱
“This makes me so happy! I am elated that he did so well. I look forward to working with you and seeing the growth over the next few weeks!”
— Rooted in Regulation™ Summer Enrichment Parent
Yesterday, our campers explored the fruit of Love through movement, teamwork, communication, reflection, and real-life experiences that helped bring character lessons to life.
This feedback came after just Day 1.
When children are given opportunities to practice leadership, communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and connection in a safe environment, growth begins to take root.
We are excited to continue helping children build skills that strengthen the brain, body, relationships, and character—one week at a time.

To the mom who feels like she’s failing…
To the single parent carrying more than anyone realizes…
To the teacher pouring into others while running on empty…
To the person who knows they have more to give but can’t seem to find the opportunity…
I want to encourage you today.
Not every opportunity you need will already exist. Sometimes we spend so much time looking for the open door that we miss the possibility that God is teaching us how to build one.
The thing you’ve been through may become the very thing that helps someone else. The struggle you’re walking through may become the wisdom another person needs.
The gift you carry may not fit neatly into a role, title, or position that currently exists. That doesn’t mean it isn’t valuable.
Keep growing.
Keep learning.
Keep showing up.
Keep being faithful with what God has already placed in your hands.
You do not have to have the entire plan figured out today.
Just take the next step.
God has a way of creating opportunities where none seemed to exist before. And sometimes, what feels like a dead end is actually the beginning of something you never imagined possible. 🌱

My two-year-old lost a blue ball under the couch this morning.
What happened next became one of the clearest examples of attachment, behavior, faith, and nervous system regulation I’ve ever witnessed.
👇 Read the story.
What We Reach for When We Need Safety Most people do not realize they are already carrying a map of their nervous system. That map can be seen in their patterns, their habits, their relationships, and the ways they cope when life becomes overwhelming. It often reveals itself in the moments we least expect—when we are stressed, hurt, af...

This is what Rooted in Regulation™ looks like in real life:
teaching children how to move from survival mode into connection through co-regulation, play, kindness, and relational safety. 💛
Today’s relational play session wasn’t about who won the game.
It was about learning how to stay connected to each other even when emotions felt big.
In this moment, one child stepped into the role of leader while the other learned how to trust, follow, and stay emotionally safe within the interaction. At first, frustration and competition created distance between them. One sibling’s nervous system shifted into protection mode — wanting control rather than connection.
But through shared regulation, patience, modeling, and gentle guidance, something beautiful happened.
Walls slowly came down.
Defensiveness softened.
Trust began to grow.
Instead of staying stuck in threat and competition, they practiced kindness. They learned that leadership does not have to overpower, and being the learner does not mean being less important. Both children practiced listening, flexibility, sharing space, and opening their hearts to each other in real time.
These are the moments that matter.
Not perfect behavior — but safe connection.
Not forced sharing — but growing trust.
Not control — but relationship.

Stay tuned for dates/times for this summer Leadership and Character enrichment program!!! We are so excited to share with you but even more thrill to have you be apart of this amazing opportunity to grow this summer!!!
“Peace makes room for both our hearts…” 🕊️
This wasn’t scripted.
He was genuinely upset after hearing “not right now,” and instead of forcing the feeling away, we stayed connected through it.
No punishment for having feelings.
No shame.
No “you’re fine.”
Just space for disappointment, connection, play, trust, and eventually… laughter.
While the music played in the background, I watched the lyrics of my original song “Peace Makes Room” come to life in real time:
✨ disappointment without emotional abandonment
✨ connection without control
✨ regulation through relationship
This is what Rooted in Regulation™ looks like in real life. 🌿
Not perfection.
Not instant calm.
Just hearts learning how to stay connected through hard feelings together.
Original lyrics & emotional framework written by Eden Mabry for Rooted in Regulation™.
