This year is extra special as we celebrate 24 years of Visiting Angels in York & Hanover and 25 years of service in Lancaster County!

Our York & Hanover story began when Sue opened our doors in October 2002, while the Lancaster office has been caring for families in the community since 2001.

We’re grateful for the incredible caregivers, clients, families, community partners, and friends who have been part of our journey along the way.

We’ll be celebrating our 25th anniversary in Lancaster throughout this month, with more celebrations to come... and next fall, we’ll celebrate 25 years of Visiting Angels in York & Hanover!

We’re so proud of our administrative team for becoming Dementia Friends! This is an important step toward creating a more understanding, inclusive, and supportive environment for people living with dementia. We’re excited to be on our way to becoming a Dementia Friendly Business and continuing to learn, grow, and make a difference in our community.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know that about 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime?

Let’s spread awareness, encourage regular screenings, and support those affected by breast cancer. 💗

Caregiver Spotlight: Akia, Caregiver of Visiting Angels Verona, PA

Akia has been part of the Visiting Angels family since December 2023, and since February 2025, she’s been caring for Mildred about twice a week. In that time, these two have become nearly inseparable! 💙

Akia isn’t just a familiar face to Mildred - she’s a trusted companion and a genuine friend. We love seeing the connection they’ve built and the joy they bring to each other. These two are the epitome of what we hope every client-caregiver relationship can become.
