Family Farm Days - Day 1🍀🐐🦙🐰🐣
What a beautiful, busy, fun day filled with kids, animals, 4-H, and our County Commissioners!
Special thanks to: The Leed Family for bringing goats and lambs, Aeris & Faith for presenting and accepting our 4-H Proclamation, all of our youth and adult volunteers today: Sophia, Kunjappu Family, Orly, Andrew, Sarah, Lynette, Deb, Michelle, Khadija, Sasha, and Marcus and of course Kevin & Sue with their alpacas!
Rest up, tomorrow we are at the Farm from 10 am -7 pm!

What? An opportunity for ALL 4-H members to share with the community their creativity and passion for their projects, sports, and other activities. This event also is a great chance to work on public posture and speaking in front of groups.
When? August 5th at 7:00pm
Where? Farm and Home Center Auditorium
Who? All Lancaster 4-H members ages 8-18 (as of Jan, 1st)

Art Across America🎨🍀
What: A two-day STEM art event open to both current 4-H members and non-members. Your artwork will be on display at our 4-H Showcase (August 5 & 6)
When: July 13th & 16th from 10 am -12pm
Who: 4-H Youth (ages 8-18)
Register by June 27th!
To register, add the corresponding club and project in youth’s ZSuite Account. All camps are at no additional cost to 4-H members, non-members pay the $22.50 fee to join 4-H.

Regional 4-H Fashion & Textile R***e
What? Regional 4-H Fashion and Textile R***e is a contest for youth in Areas 8, 9, & 10 who completed a wearable and/or a non-wearable clothing or textile 4-H project this year. Participants will present their projects to judges and both the presentation and the entry itself will be evaluated.
When? July 8th , 11 AM - 4 PM
Where? Penn State Berks
Who? Youth ages 8-18

Congratulations to all our 4-H members who participated today in the 4-H Strawberry Roundup! A special thank you to the Rotary members who host the event and purchase the strawberries. The quarts of strawberries were purchased for $350 to $450 per quart.

Get ready to fire up your cooking skills with 4‑H Grill It Up Tuesdays—a sizzling summer experience that blends outdoor cooking, food safety, and nutrition with hands‑on fun!
This four‑week virtual series builds confidence in outdoor cooking, leading up to a special in‑person cookout finale later in the summer. This program is open to 4‑H youth ages 8–18 and will be held on July 7, 14, 21, and 28.
Participants will learn the foundations of outdoor cooking while keeping safety, nutrition, and creativity front and center. Each week, participants will prepare one recipe at home with adult supervision, using a variety of outdoor cooking methods.

Pull up a chair and get ready to cook!
Registration is now open for this summer’s PA 4‑H Virtual Cooking Camp! Campers will participate in a hands‑on culinary journey where they’ll build kitchen confidence, explore new foods, and create a five‑course meal—one delicious course at a time. Camp will take place from July 20 to 24 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM each day.
This engaging five‑day virtual camp gives participants the chance to prepare a different part of a meal each day:
🧀 Appetizers
🍲 Soup
🥗 Salad
🍝 Entrée
🍰 Dessert
Campers will learn essential kitchen skills, food safety, nutrition basics, table etiquette, and more—all while having fun cooking from home. Adult supervision is required throughout the camp.
