"Join us [Communication Studies students of AVC!] in raising awareness about student homelessness and supporting these incredible non-profit organizations that are making a difference. Together we can ensure that every student has a chance to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential.

The event will be held on April 18th from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM behind the SSV building. It will include the opportunity to create your own baskets with supplies to later donate to organizations and the opportunity to spin a wheel for fun prizes. Snacks and refreshments will also be included!"

Comm. Studies AVC representing at yesterday's Major's Faire — Faculty had a great time interacting with students nonstop, promoting the value of a Communication Studies degree here at AVC. Just a few highlights include:

1. We are one of the only degrees allowing you to work in literally ANY FIELD OR INDUSTRY. Every sector requires communication professionals managing critical messaging both within and outside the organization.

2. Employers in every sector value Communication Skills ABOVE ALL ELSE (a good reason to consider a Comm. minor if you are already majoring in a clinical or STEM field).

3. Whatever your interests and passions, Communication Studies helps you pursue them through the study of culture and conflict, media and storytelling, politics and public discourse, health and science, and endlessly further.
