OK Warriors... it's KEEP POUNDING WEEK!

The 2026 Keep Pounding High School Classic Presented by Belk will be held at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, August 29. The event will once again be a doubleheader between North and South Carolina powers, featuring matchups between the Indian Land Warriors and Northwestern Trojans (4:00 p.m. kickoff) and the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders versus the Hough Huskies (8:00 p.m. kickoff). General admission tickets are $8 and are available now via Ticketmaster.com.
The first game presents a classic 'new guard vs. old guard' battle of supremacy. The Indian Land Warriors (S.C.) enter the 2026 season having posted an 11-2 mark in 2025 in route to a state semi-final appearance. The Warriors are quickly ascending as one of the state's elite programs and are currently ranked No. 19 in On3 Rivals South Carolina preseason poll. Meanwhile, the two-time defending state champion Northwestern Trojans (S.C.) start their 2026 campaign as the No. 1 ranked team in South Carolina per On3 Rivals as they begin their quest for an unprecedented three-peat state title run.
The second game features a clash of North Carolina state superpowers. The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (N.C.), ranked as the No. 6 team in North Carolina by On3 Rivals, head into 2026 with a talented roster and lofty expectations after finishing 12-2 and reaching the state semifinals for the sixth time in seven seasons. The Hough Huskies (N.C.), ranked No. 21 nationally by MaxPreps, capped off a perfect 14-0 campaign in 2025 with their first-ever 8A state championship and enter the 2026 season as one of the nation's premier high school football programs.
