AVHS LIBRARY and Courtyard

AVHS Alumni will be streaming the Hall of Fame Awards ceremony on Friday, September 27 starting at 5 p.m. in the large gym. If the WiFi signal is strong enough on Mays Field, we hope to stream the Homecoming game as well. GO LOPES!

We are hoping to live stream the upcoming AVHS Hall of Fame ceremony on September 27th in the large gym, starting at 5 p.m. If we can, we will include a link to the event program brochure so you can follow. Afterwards, we hope to live stream the homecoming game at 7 p.m., depending if we have a strong WiFi signal on Mays Field. We will update as the event nears. GO LOPES!

HALL OF FAME INFORMATION

The AVHS Hall of Fame began in 2012. The nomination process runs from January to mid June. The committee, which is made up of AVHS alumni, meets during the summer to select the next inductees. The selected inductees are announced in August and there is an article about them in the AV Press. The ceremony is held prior to Homecoming in the fall. The Ceremony will be during homecoming on Friday, September 27 around 5 p.m in the large gym. If you are planning to attend, contact the school to confirm details. The homecoming game at Mays Field will be at 7 p.m. against Palmdale.

104th AVHS GRADUATING CLASS

The 2019 AVHS homecoming will be on Friday September 27, 2019 against Palmdale.

Informal survey: A few years ago someone commented that the newer classes were less interested in formal reunions because of the availability of social media. If you are in a class after the year 2000, has your class had its 10 year reunion? If you are in a class before 2000, has your class held its reunions regularly every ten years?

i.e. The class of 1973 has held a reunion every ten years as well as several five year gatherings.
