Thought of the day:
Civitavecchia, Rome Italy 🇮🇹
Watching my daughter navigate high school has reminded me that some of the deepest wounds our children experience don’t come from strangers. They come from peers. From being excluded. From being mocked in a group chat. From watching everyone else find a place while they stand on the outside wondering what they did wrong.
As parents, our instinct is to fix it. To call the school. To confront the other parents. To protect our child from every painful moment. Sometimes intervention is necessary, especially when bullying crosses the line. But many times, our greatest role isn’t to remove every obstacle—it’s to help our children build the strength to walk through them without losing themselves.
I try to remind them that high school is only a chapter—not the whole story. Many people who felt invisible at sixteen go on to build extraordinary lives surrounded by people who truly value them.
Popularity fades. Character remains.
When my teenager is hurting today, I struggle not to rush to convince her everything will be okay. I need to learn how to just sit beside them, Let them know they are loved, they are enough, and they never have to earn their worth from people who fail to see it. I forget, often aren’t looking for solutions first. They want me to truly hear their pain without minimizing it.
I want to teach them to remain kind without becoming weak, confident without becoming arrogant, and compassionate without becoming people pleasers, so that they can carry those lessons for life. But I need to train myself first.
Maybe One day they’ll realize that being excluded from the wrong crowd often made room for the right people to enter their lives.

It’s how you feel…
Happy Monday, everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and got to enjoy the World Cup Final—football to most of the world, soccer to us Americans.
Before anything else, I want to send my love and prayers to one of our fellow industry professionals, a talented makeup artist who was involved in a serious car accident this weekend. Praying for a full and speedy recovery. Life can change in an instant, so please stay safe out there.
Now… what a final!
Watching it live was so intense that I barely got to appreciate the game. Going back and rewatching the moments gives me chills.
Some people told me not to mix sports with politics. I respect that opinion, but for me, this World Cup felt personal. Politics touches every part of our lives—from the food we eat and the schools our children attend to healthcare, work, and the future we build. So yes, this tournament meant more to me.
But today, I want to talk about Team Spain.
Their teamwork, discipline, humility, and respect for one another were inspiring. Seeing one of their star players pray before stepping onto the field and then give thanks afterward reminded me that greatness isn’t just about talent—it’s about character.
I’m not an athlete, but that’s the mindset I try to bring into my life and my business.
Money comes and goes. People are what truly matter. The people around us shape our lives, our success, and who we become.
So this post is dedicated to my team. Thank you for your hard work, your loyalty, and your heart. I will always do my best to make sure you are safe, respected, and growing.
And to everyone in the hospitality and event industry—this is for you too. We don’t create unforgettable experiences alone. We do it together.
Have a blessed week, everyone. ❤️
