ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: CHRISTINE MICHELLE

Christine Michelle is a Seattle-based DJ, producer, and founder of Elevated Frequencies. Raised in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, her musical foundation was shaped by piano, brass, strings, and influences from classical and jazz music.

Her connection to dance music began in Seattle’s underground scene during the 90's, attending iconic events and venues including FreakNight, Nocturnal Wonderland, Vinylized, NFT, DV8, Noc Noc, and The Fenix Underground. After years immersed in the culture, she stepped behind the decks in 22'.

Known for bass-forward, dark melodic, and atmospheric selections, Christine crafts immersive journeys that blend depth, emotion, and movement. She has performed at Monkey Loft, Cherry, Kremwerk, Hidden Hall, Nectar Lounge, Madame Lou’s, and headlined The Mercury. Her festival and support appearances at Ignition NW and local PNW crews invlude headliners such as SAINT SINNER, TONY H, ATYYA, CREACH, Lyrah, Massane, VNSSA, Fred Everything, Marbs, Lucati, Rimarkable, Ian Pooley, Dosem, and Anyasa.

Since launching Elevated Frequencies in 23', Christine has focused on cultivating community, coaching music professionals, producing events, and creating original music designed to connect, elevate, and move dance floors.

CØNTRA (Ezra Arenson) channels the spirit of the underground through a sound forged between the redwood forests of Northern California, the deep bass culture of Denver, and the creative energy of Portland. Rooted in dubstep’s darker frequencies and infused with world bass influences, his productions balance weight, space, and emotion—designed as much for deep listening as they are for the dance floor.

With releases on influential labels including Deep Dark & Dangerous, DUPLOC, Wheel & Deal, UKF, SubCarbon, Odyzey, Gravitas, and Deadbeats, CØNTRA has steadily carved out a distinct voice within the global bass community. His music blends cavernous low-end frequencies, organic textures, and cinematic atmospheres, creating immersive journeys that feel both primal and futuristic.

A respected presence in the underground circuit, CØNTRA has brought his sound to gatherings such as Lightning in a Bottle, Infrasound, Lost Lands, Wicked Woods, and The Untz. Whether in intimate rooms or on festival stages, his sets are known for deep selections, intentional storytelling, and a connection that leaves a lasting impact every time long after the music fades.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: LOTUS DROPS

Lotus Drops is a pioneering force in West Coast bass music, known for transforming DJ sets into immersive sonic journeys. Blending deep dubstep, trap, rare grooves, and her signature “Goddess Womp” sound, she crafts tribal, bass-heavy experiences rich with texture, atmosphere, and intention. Music editor Rachael Swan once described her mixes as “genuine sound installations,” praising their narrative depth and creative vision.

Since launching her career in the Bay Area in 2008, Lotus Drops has built a respected presence throughout California, Colorado, Hawaii, Chicago, and beyond. Over her 17-year career, she has shared stages with renowned artists including Mala, TRUTH, Freq Nasty, ill.Gates, Babylon System, Antiserum, Jon Casey, The Librarian, and Thriftworks.

A producer as well as a performer, she released her full-length album Cosmic Roots in 2013, produced multiple remixes, and released over 15 mixes. Her accolades include Denver Westword’s Best Local EDM DJ and Bellingham’s Best DJ award.

In her sets she blends drum and bass, halftime, and dubstep to create a journey through sound marked by distorted basslines and broken beats. She’s had the honor of opening for artists such as Eprom, Pav4n, Hypho, Monty, and Two Swords. As part of the Back2Bassics crew, she aims to create a platform for local artists to express their creativity freely.
