So simple to care for, just mist once a week...easy peasy! These are called Tillandsia Caput Medusae and ready to bloom! These are also coming the the Art Fest on Sunday along with the others I posted before.

Next up at Fernwood Arts FestTillandsia Harrissi purple in ceramic hand and Blue Raspberry Tillandsia Velutina in a hand poured concrete planter.

Boxes, boxes everywhere!🌿 I have been a super busy girl getting ready for the Fernwood Arts Fest this Sunday! Tilly Lane (that's me) will be there with over 200 plants, loads of planters and other fun creations. Current situation at my place😵‍💫🥴👇
That's less than half of what needs to fit in my car...lol😅

Rosy cheeks, mittens, hats, and smiles all around! In spite of the cold, it was a fantastic turn out for Winterfest at Queen Bee Artisan Market in Lake Geneva today! These two adorable sisters are really proud of their creation!

🌿Let's talk about fertilizing🌿
It is important that you use a fertilizer specific to your air plants. Why? Because other fertilizers contain urea, which can harm your plants. This can happen because soil microbes convert urea into a form that is absorbed by roots. Since air plants don't have roots, the urea is not broken down and can cause your air plant's leaves to turn brown and die.
Using the proper urea-free fertilizer formulated specifically for air plants helps speed up growth, it also enhances the plants during blooming and encourages offspring growth.
It is recommended to fertilized once a month along with regular waterings.

Which one is your favorite?

🌿Some people wonder: Do air plants need sun? The answer is Yes! They do! It’s important to know the right light "sweet spot" is for your air plants. The short answer is bright, indirect light.
They do like some direct light, but be careful so they do not get sun damaged. It may take a bit of moving your plants around to find the ideal spot, but it is well worth it.🌿

🌿Time to dry after a relaxing soak 🛀

Always be sure to let your plants dry out completely before you put them back in their "home" This will help prevent the plants from rotting at the base or developing mold.
Ideally, put your plant face down on some paper towel so that the excess water can run out.
