Every kitten deserves to be someone’s “we couldn’t leave without them.” ❤️

We have some wonderful kittens waiting for their forever homes, and a few of our older babies have been waiting longer than we ever expected. They’ve watched the tiny newcomers arrive, get all the attention, and head off to their new families while they’re still waiting for someone to choose them.

They may be a little bigger now, but they’re still kittens. Still playful. Still cuddly. Still full of personality. And still very much deserving of a family of their own.

Our kittens are adopted in pairs unless there is already another young kitty in the home, because growing up with a feline friend gives them a built-in playmate, companion and best friend. 🐾❤️

Our House of Hope Pet Food Pantry does incredible work helping Lake County families keep their pets fed and at home with the people who love them. Last year alone, they distributed more than 26,000 pounds of dry pet food and 9,551 cans of food.

Our Wags & Whiskers Pet Food Drive runs through September 30, so there’s still time to help!

Pick up a few cans or a bag of food, make a donation through our Zeffy link, or simply share this post with your friends and neighbors. Every little bit adds up.

For the second year in a row, BHHS Chicago is collecting pet food and supplies to benefit Our House of Hope Pet Food Pantry and Two Furs Rescue. ❤️

Donations can be dropped off at the BHHS Chicago Libertyville office or you can donate online and choose which organization you’d like to support.

🎉 DOLLY GOT ADOPTED! 🎉

From the tiny 3-week-old kitten who came to us with a sunken chest that was soon diagnosed as pectus excavatum, through specialist visits, surgery and recovery...look at her now. ❤️

Dolly is healthy, growing, and officially home with her new family!

Her journey took a little more time, a lot more medical care, and plenty of people rooting for her. We couldn't be happier to see how far she's come.
