Broadmoor Elementary - BES

Learning place value is much sweeter when snacks are involved! Ms. McDaniel’s class used delicious treats as base-ten tools to represent ones, tens, and hundreds before writing numbers in standard, word, unit, and expanded forms. 🧠💡
What a fun (and tasty!) way to learn! 📊

🌟🐻 Meet Broadmoor’s September Student of the Month, Sadie S.! 💙❤️

Sadie is a 2nd grader in Ms. Caroline Romero’s class, and we are excited to celebrate her special recognition!

Join us in congratulating Sadie! We’re proud to have you in our Broadmoor Bear family! 🎉👏

👀👂👃👅✋ Mrs. Hartweck's class wrapped up our Five Senses unit with a walking field trip to the new building!

Along the way, our kindergarteners searched for signs with Braille and connected our learning to the amazing lives of Helen Keller and Ray Charles. 💛

They learned how people can use their senses in different ways to experience, navigate, and understand the world around them. What a fun way to bring our learning to life! 📚✨

🌋 Learning is erupting in Ms. Prejean’s science lab!

Students from Ms. Letulier’s and Ms. Romero’s homeroom classes simulated volcanic eruptions to explore how volcanoes change Earth’s surface and create new layers of rock and land. What a fun, hands-on way for our Broadmoor Bears to see science in action! 🐻🔬

It was a cozy day at Broadmoor! 🐻💤

Today, students who met our monthly MTSS goals celebrated by wearing their pajamas to school. To earn Pajama Day, students had no major behavior referrals, no more than one minor behavior referral, and an A or B average in conduct for the month.

We’re proud of our Bears for their hard work and positive choices! 💙❤️
