When you paid off your car loan, that account was closed. Fewer active accounts can slightly lower your score.

✔️ Credit Mix Changed
Lenders like to see a mix (credit cards + loans). Removing an installment loan (like a car) can shift that balance.

✔️ Payment History Impact Slows
That car loan was helping build your positive payment history every month. Now it’s no longer actively boosting your score.

✔️ Average Age of Credit May Shift
If your car loan was one of your older accounts, closing it can slightly affect your credit age.

💡 The GOOD NEWS:
This drop is usually small and temporary! Your score can bounce back (and even improve) with consistent habits.

• Keep credit card balances LOW
