Dragons Gate Ranch

Katana likes to bring me a shoe every time I come home. When she can't find a shoe, she will resort to blankets and pillows.

Our goats are finally big enough to wear GPS collars like our cow and sheep. This means they now have access to acres of browsing area around the property (goats are primarily browsers, whereas cows and sheep are primarily grazers) They'll be able to keep down weeds, brush, and even poison oak on the ranch.

There is, however, a down side to have VERY friendly goats roaming the property. Like having them try to climb into the car every time I leave.

Warlock loves the local playground! At least, she loves that there are so many people who love her. They don't get any more trusting and affection than this.

Warlock Wednesday, Week 8:
Our little girl is two months old today and just keeps getting more affectionate, and more confident. On our walks around the neighborhood, she now prefers walking next to people with hands free to pet her than next to her Mom. She's also very inquisitive, straying away to investigate anything novel along her path.

Warlock Wednesday, Week 7: Warlock is losing her golden baby coat, and is turning out to be a stunning dark mahogany bay. Her lower legs will stay white, but the rest will shed to black and brown.

Warlock Wednesday Week 6 (belated):
She's grown SO much in 6 weeks! She's also starting to lose her baby coat. Getting all splotchy on the face and legs.

Finally big enough to join the herd!

Warlock Wednesday, Week 4:

The most comfortable place in the entire pasture for a nap is, without question, on top of Mom's breakfast.
