On August 19th we had the opportunity to attend Nuclear Invasion X hosted by Chapter 11 Dubs on beautiful Lake Wylie. Now this was not a car show but a pot luck style cookout for the members as well as people who shared the same love for the cars we drive. Once again we went out met new friends, ate, and enjoyed conversations about the beautiful cars that were along the shores of Lake Wylie. We also witnessed a group that banded together to rebuild a tastefully modded Corrado for new member's brother that had been in a wreck earlier. After attending NI X you can't help noticing the family atmosphere. So I have to say thanks to Ritesh Mathur for the invite and say we can't wait until next year!!! We suggest if you want a laid back atmosphere with beautiful scenery and great people you arrange plans to attend the next Nuclear Invasion.

So prior to leaving for Air 2 Water I was asked why I was so obsessed with VW's. This show was a great example of why. From the beautiful Orlando weather, the meet and greet on Saturday, the main show on Sunday, to being fed by a fellow dubber, this event felt like a family reunion. This is why we were excited to spend our 14th wedding anniversary among such good people. We will never forget Jay, Will, Jon, Tony, Mark, and many more that we met over the weekend. The show was a perfect size not too large but large enough. The air cooled VW's were parked throughout the showroom seeming as though they were meant to be there. Then as you walked outside the variety of Audi, VW's, and even Porsche kept you occupied all day. Was the 6 hour ride worth it? Yes, without a doubt. This is definitely a show that will make the yearly calendar for show season. So in our opinion mark your calendar and look out for the next Air 2 Water car show.
