✨Now accepting horses for our 2027 training program. Limited availability — spots are filling quickly!
With over 25 years of professional horse training experience across a wide variety of disciplines, we bring extensive knowledge, experience, and a well-rounded approach to every horse that comes into our program.
We intentionally accept a limited number of horses so we can provide each horse with the individual attention, personalized training, and quality care they deserve. Keeping our program small allows us to spend meaningful one-on-one time with each horse and tailor their training to their unique needs, temperament, and goals.
Located in La Pine, Oregon, our 40-acre facility offers an outdoor arena, round pens, hot walker, 5-acre mountain trail course, and access to thousands of acres of public land — providing a diverse environment for developing confident, well-rounded horses.
Our program is built around individualized training based on each horse's temperament, experience, abilities, and goals.
Training services offered:
• Starting horses under saddle with dressage and reining fundamentals
• Ground and foundation training
• Young, inexperienced, rescued, abused, off-the-track, and difficult horses
• Rehabilitation, retraining, and continued development
• Building balanced, confident, responsive horses for both trail and show environments
We believe horses should be trained, cared for, and allowed to be horses. Movement, turnout, forage, rest, and a consistent routine are important parts of a healthy, mentally balanced horse.
Full-care training board includes:
• Stall/run combinations with daily turnout
• Daily stall cleaning
• Turnout when weather permits
• Free-choice orchard/timothy hay when diet allows
• Mineral block
• Fly spray and blanketing
• 4–5 rides/work sessions per week
Owners provide any special feed, grain, or supplements their horse requires.
Our goal is more than teaching skills. We strive to develop confident, balanced, willing, and dependable partners through clear communication, individualized training, and quality care.

🐴 Our two training mares, Maple and Zara, have come such a long way, and we couldn’t be more proud of their progress!
Both mares are now confidently riding in the arena at the walk, trot, canter, and working on lateral movement. They are also getting out on the trails, riding both solo and in a group—an important milestone as they continue building confidence, consistency, and versatility.
Their hard work and dedication are really showing, and we’re excited to see what’s next for these two wonderful mares.
✨ Maple and Zara are available for adoption and are looking for their forever homes where they can continue to grow and thrive.
If you’re interested in learning more about either mare or would like to discuss adoption, please reach out to Silent Wave Horse Rescue.

Today was a special day as Gus and Shadow headed home after 90 days of training to be started under saddle.
It has been such a pleasure working with these two boys and watching their progress throughout their time with us. They’ve both put in the miles, learned so much, and are heading home ready for their next chapter.
The best part of the day was seeing Mom take both boys out tonight and simply enjoy them. Watching that connection come together makes all the hard work worth it.
Wishing Gus and Shadow and their mom, Suzy many happy trails and wonderful memories ahead! 🐴💕

Mac 💕 is off on his next adventure today! He’s heading to Camp Pendleton, where he’ll have the wonderful opportunity to support and serve our service members as a therapy horse.
Although Mac was only part of our program for a short time, he made incredible progress—both in his body condition and in his training. At just three years old, this special guy has such a bright future ahead of him!
We’re so proud of how far he’s come and can’t wait to see all the lives he’ll touch in this next chapter. ❤️🐴
First two pics are his before and after 💕
