Budgett’s Frogs (Lepidobatrachus laevis) are one of the most unique amphibians in the reptile hobby 👀 Native to South America, these frogs are specially adapted for life in shallow wetlands, marshes, and muddy floodplains.

Here are a few cool facts about them:

✨ Their oversized mouths allow them to eat surprisingly large prey
✨ They are ambush predators that stay hidden and strike quickly when food comes near ⚡
✨ Their flattened bodies help them bury into mud and shallow water for protection
✨ Unlike many frogs, they are known for making squeaks, grunts, and defensive sounds 😂
✨ They thrive in warm aquatic or semi-aquatic environments with clean water and proper filtration

Budgett’s Frogs can make fascinating pets for experienced amphibian keepers because of their bold feeding response, unique appearance, and entertaining personalities—but they are best appreciated as display animals rather than handling pets 💚

🌸 Orchid Mantis (Hymenopus coronatus) – Famous for their stunning flower-like appearance, these beautiful mantids use camouflage to blend in with blossoms and ambush prey.

👻 Ghost Mantis (Phyllocrania paradoxa) – Masters of disguise, Ghost Mantids look just like dead leaves and are one of the most unique mantis species in the hobby.

🌺 Spiny Flower Mantis (Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii) – Small, colorful, and packed with personality, these mantids are known for their beautiful patterns and impressive threat displays.
