The Krum Public Library experienced a cybersecurity incident on May 14, 2026, and has since confirmed that it was the victim of a sophisticated ransomware attack carried out by cybercriminal threat actors. The library immediately launched an investigation with the assistance of cybersecurity professionals and notified the appropriate authorities. While the investigation remains ongoing, the library is committed to transparency and keeping the public informed regarding this incident.

Please see the public notification below for additional details regarding the incident, the library’s response, and available resources for those who may be affected. A dedicated phone line has been established by the City of Krum for residents,
employees or any other individuals with questions or concerns regarding this incident. The call center number is 1-833-851-9956 and will operate Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST
