While admission to Paperfest is free, producing a four-day festival certainly is not.

From national headliners and family entertainment to stages, insurance, security, and infrastructure, it takes significant resources to bring Paperfest to Sunset Park each summer.

So how do we keep admission free?

The answer is simple: community.

Our sponsors and local business partners help offset the cost of producing the festival, allowing everyone to enjoy Paperfest without paying at the gate.

Paperfest is also powered by volunteers. As a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization, thousands of hours are donated each year by community members and local nonprofit groups.

We leverage that support to create something special to benefit the community!

The sponsors help make the event happen. The volunteers make it run. And the proceeds from your food, beverage, ride, and activity purchases help support local nonprofit organizations throughout the Fox Cities.

Paperfest has proudly called Sunset Park, Kimberly home for nearly four decades.

Since 1989, a group of local volunteers shared an idea: create an event that brings people together and benefits the community.

That idea became Paperfest.

Over the years, countless volunteers, sponsors, nonprofit organizations, local businesses, residents, and community leaders have helped turn that idea into a tradition enjoyed by tens of thousands of attendees from throughout Northeast Wisconsin each year.

It truly takes a village.

Hard at work stuffing the balloons with candy and goodies for the Kids Balloon Drop at Paperfest!

Join us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 12:30 PM as hundreds of balloons rain down on excited kids.

And yes… quality control is important. We sampled a little candy to make sure it passed inspection.
