Did you know that implant diameter matters more than length!? š š¦·
Implant surface area follows geometry. When you increase diameter, you gain bone contact around the entire implant. When you increase length, you only add contact at the apex.
By using a short, but wide implant we were able to avoid the maxillary sinus and save the patient from going through a sinus lift.

One of the hardest cosmetic cases in dentistry: a single front tooth implant.
Matching a single central incisor is no jokeāit takes planning, precision, and a bit of artistic magic. With the help of a robotically guided implant surgery by Dr. Mark I. Gutt, South Florida Perio and our skilled master ceramist, Dr. Weber was able to achieve a seamless result that blends perfectly with the patientās natural teeth.

Years of acid reflux and a tongue thrusting habit took a toll on this smile, but with the right treatment, we were able to restore function and confidence! We obtained a truly life-changing transformation and could not be happier for our patient.

Today, I honor not only the brave men and women who have served our country but also their families, who sacrifice just as much.
As the son of a career Marine Corps officer, Army veteran myself, and dentist to many KW military dependents, I know firsthand the dedication, resilience, and love it takes to support those in uniform. Veterans and their families shoulder unique burdens, and itās because of their unwavering strength that our country enjoys the freedom it has today.
Thank you to all who have served and those who continue to stand behind them. Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed. Happy Veterans Day!

This is BIOFILM. What is biofilm? It is a sticky film that coats your teeth. It is made up of millions of bacteria--- some good, some bad. The bad bacteria are responsible for the inflammatory response which lends to gum recession and bone loss.
Did you know that the bacteria that live within biofilm are swallowed and are able to get into our vascular system?Research finds these bacteria are associated with diseases like heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, and arthritisā just to name a few!
The different colors on the teeth in the photo above are from a special disclosing solution that changes colors based on the maturation of the biofilm.
Light pink- new biofilm present less than 48 hours.
Purple- biofilm that has been on the tooth and soft tissues over 48 overs.
Blue- acid producing biofilm that has been present over 48 hours. This type of biofilm starts to erode the tooth surface which leads to increases sensitivity and can cause tooth decay.
Every patient that comes into our office for a cleaning has their teeth disclosed! This aids in complete biofilm removal by our hygienist and more importantly lets our patients SEE their problem areas!
Do you know where your problem areas are?
