🌅 The Menendez Miler — 26 years strong and still fueled by pure Conch Pride!

For more than two decades, this beloved tradition has brought our community together, and every mile run helps support the Bobby Menendez Conch Pride Scholarship, funded through Sunset Rotary. Year after year, we, along with Mr. Menendez, are proud to award this scholarship alongside our Service Above Self scholarships, continuing Bobby’s legacy of heart, grit, and giving back.

A huge thank‑you to all the runners who showed up, pushed through, and medaled — your energy keeps this event alive. And special appreciation to the Southernmost Runners for sponsoring the run and standing with us in support of our students.

Always a day filled with Conch Pride, community spirit, and the kind of tradition that makes Key West who we are.

🌅 The Bobby Menendez Annual Miler kicked off in true Key West style — with a stunning sunset and a registration that felt more like a celebration.

Aboard the historic Coast Guard Cutter Ingham, family, friends, and new faces gathered to honor the man behind the mission. Stories flowed, laughter carried across the deck, and the spirit of Key West and Conch Pride wrapped around everyone in that gorgeous setting.

A perfect start to an event rooted in community, legacy, and island heart.

Roman Garcia and Nelson Ong led the Conchs offense this season with 35 hits each, setting the tone at the top of the lineup all year long. ⚾️🔥

We are so excited to have Bobby Menendez, family, friends and those participating in the Menendez Miler tomorrow T the Ingham! Come out, join us, register by 7:30 am at Coffee Butler Amphitheater tomorrow morning to walk, run and just support the Bobby Menendez Scholarship that honors a legacy! Bobby is an icon- Conch Pride- Don’t Leave Home Without It!!!! Former KWHS standout athlete, coach, principal. We are so proud to support the Menendez Miler! Thank you to the USCGC Ingham and the Southernmost Runners!!! Lots of prizes tomorrow and medals to winners! All of the proceeds go to scholarships!

Our club was so very happy to donate $1000 to Reach for Greatness and it’s founder Violet Jengraw. The money will help underclassman with scholarships for elite summer camps. We meet Tuesday at 6 o’clock at the Doubletree. If you believe in service about self, join us.

🌟 Sunset Rotary was proud to welcome Violet Jangraw as a speaker at a recent meeting.🌟

Violet, a junior at Key West High School, is the inspiring founder of Reach for Greatness, a nonprofit already making a real impact for local students. Through passion and leadership, she has helped raise over $56,000 to support underclassmen attending elite summer conferences and training programs.
