The lady at the charity shop today told me that she wishes people would clear out their children's old toys in the lead up to Christmas rather than after because she always sees a number of parents in the days before Christmas looking for toys for their little ones who might be strapped for cash. She said there's very rarely anything in just before, but that they get inundated with toys in the days after.

And it really made me think about it in a way I never would have before.

If you know your child is going to get lots of presents from father Christmas this year, by clearing out your cupboards a few days early you could make another child's Christmas a lot more special too.

Thank goodness both FL and GA Governors have declared a state of emergency. Kudos to them. What is a State of Emergency? The Governor declares a State of Emergency when he/she believes a disaster has occurred or may be imminent, that is severe enough to require aid to supplement local resources in preventing or alleviating damages, loss, hardship or suffering. This includes state and federal funding, for recovery efforts of all types e.g. cleanup. If the state does NOT declare State if Emergency - in advance of the disaster - aid to those areas of disaster will most likely be delayed. Think Katrina and NO…

Think about how many times during a typical year you call your I.T. pro to come and help you fix something on your computer or to remotely control it to solve your issue. Once? 10 times? For us, it averages about a dozen times a year. So on this day, show your appreciation with a coffee-shop gift card or other small tokens.

Use the hashtag to draw attention to the holiday — and the tireless computer geniuses it honors. Encourage your friends and online followers to do the same.

Try to solve a technical issue on your own... 🤣🤦‍♀️🤣🤦‍♀️🤣
