Our condolences go out to the family of Stuart Whitman. In 1980, Stuart who passed away on Monday at the age of 92, played legendary Capt. Tony Tarracino in the movie "Cuba Crossing". The movie, loosely based on the true story of Tony's trips to Cuba, also featured Robert Vaughn, Sybil Danning and Michael Grazzo. The film was shot in Key West and features many locals. Tony even has a couple of cameos. It is available on DVD.
This year's event was a great success! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our event. We will be posting photos on the site soon so keep checking back! Also we are almost out of the yellow 2012 Captain Tony Day Tshirts but have other colors available. Will be posting pics for those soon.

Congratulations to the recipient of this year's Capt. Tony Day's Life Scholarship, Justine Ortega. Justine was sponsored by her teacher, Ed Smith, and greatly impressed all the members of Capt. Tony Days. The check was presented to her at Don Middlebrook's Key West concert during the 2012 Meeting of the Minds - Parrothead's in Paradise.
The members of Capt. Tony Days want to express our sympathy and support to everyone touched by Hurricane Sandy, expecially those in Capt. Tony's birthtown of Elizabeth, NJ.

Great artwork at the show at the Chart Room. We had photographs by Richard Weatherwax, chalk drawings by Capt. Flash, paintings by Alicia Oropeza and Peggy Tarracino, and a sculpture of the saloon by Ronald Bailey, along with other works.pictures to come.
