Opening week is here! THE CATCH opens this Thursday at Williams Hall, celebrating the artists, stories, and maritime traditions that make Key West so special.

We’re continuing our MEET THE ARTIST series with Andy Thurber!

Andy Thurber has been painting Key West for most of his life. Conchs, shrimpers, crab traps, docks, boats, old houses, and characters that make the place what it is.

For THE CATCH, he brings together his loose watercolors and intaglio woodcarvings, including work rooted in the carving tradition of Mario Sanchez.

See his work in THE CATCH. Join us this Thursday, October 15, from 6–8 PM for the opening of THE CATCH! Free and open to the public.

Enjoy an evening of live music, timeless swing classics, and dancing for those who want to hit the floor. No dance experience is needed—come for the live music, join in on the dancing, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Everyone is welcome!

Join us on select Tuesdays from October through May, with dance instruction by Lucy Carleton at 7PM and live music beginning at 7:30PM. Dance instruction is included with ticket purchase!

MEET THE ARTIST | MARTHA HUBBARD

THE CATCH opens Thursday, October 15 at Williams Hall, bringing together Key West artists whose work captures the people, places, and everyday life shaped by the sea.

We’re introducing the artists behind the exhibition, starting with Martha Hubbard!

Before most of Key West is awake, Martha Hubbard is walking to White Street Pier with a camera.

Most people know her as the chef behind Unity Table. THE CATCH will be the first public showing of her photography.

And yes, she’s cooking for the opening too.

The Catch brings together Key West artists working in painting, photography, woodcarving, and mixed media for a show about the relationship between this island and the water that surrounds it.

The work moves from boats, docks, fish houses, and working fishermen to the fish themselves — and the landscapes, characters, rituals, and everyday life that have grown up around the sea.

Featuring Jorge Marrero, Andy Thurber, Martha Hubbard, Michael Marrero, and additional artists to be announced.
