This show features 44 local artists displaying 48 amazing creations that cover all mediums of art. The Kettering Health Art Gallery is free and open to the public, so catch this display at Rosewood until Saturday, July 18. Annual Youth Fishing Derby -- This Saturday at Delco Park

The Annual Youth Fishing Derby is this Saturday, June 13 at Delco Park, and it is completely free! Open to youth ages 5-16, this beloved community event is a great summer outing for the whole family. Bring your own bait and pole if possible — waxworms and loaner poles will be available in limited supply. Trophies will be awarded and lunch is provided for participants and their parents.
Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. and the derby starts at 10 a.m. A parent or guardian signature is required at registration. The event is held rain or shine.

Summer Art at Rosewood Camps
We kicked off our summer camp programs recently at Rosewood Arts Center and asked some of our campers if they’d like to show off their creations. We love to see these talented young artists' love for art and imagination!

The Power of Herbs at the Lathrem Senior Center
Olti Pepa from Tapestry and Megan Butcher from Laurels of Kettering came to present The Power of Herbs to members at the Lathrem Senior Center on Tuesday, June 2.

Olti spoke about the impact of herbs like rosemary, oregano and cilantro on the body and Megan provided snacks. Look for all the topics offered in the General Interest category in each seasonal Activity Guide.

Come join us today, June 6 for a fun filled day outside of the Kettering Recreation Complex located in the Adventure Reef Water Park Lot. We will be holding the Kettering Summer Flea Market in conjunction with Touch a Truck!

Shop from 30+ vendors selling anything from home decor, craft items, baked goods, antiques, garage sale items and more! A live DJ will be onsite to help put out the summer vibes and food trucks will be onsite for some amazing breakfast food and drinks.

Touch a Truck will feature an interactive area where kids can explore big rigs, construction vehicles, emergency vehicles and more! Nearby there will also be a Family Obstacle Course, Inflatables and Face Painting!

FITNESS SPOTLIGHT: A Family Affair at Kettering Fitness!

For John and Campbell Boyle, staying active isn't just a solo routine -- it’s a family tradition. Today, we are incredibly proud to spotlight this dynamic father-son duo who have been crushing their goals right here at the Kettering Recreation Complex and Kettering Fitness & Wellness Center!

Meet John:

John has been a dedicated member for 10 years, but his fitness journey started with a massive life transformation. After deciding to change his health habits, John lost over 100 pounds! Some of his very first runs took place on our KRC treadmills and indoor tracks. Fast forward to today, and he has conquered multiple 5Ks, 10Ks, half-marathons and a full marathon in 2022. These days, he’s pairing his 3–4 weekly runs with a dedicated strength training routine to stay strong and injury-free.

"Strength training is so important for everyone, but especially as we age," John said.

Meet Campbell:

Following in his dad's active footsteps, Campbell has been a member for two years. He's heading to Fairmont High School as a freshman this August, where he plays both baseball and basketball. Campbell uses our fitness facilities to stay conditioned, level up his athleticism and get in peak shape for his upcoming sports seasons. He's looking forward to making even more progress in the gym this summer!
