That’s a wrap! We formally closed our Town and Country location last night. Our first day as Grooves to Bits at 4700 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH, 45440, will be tomorrow, Saturday November 1 from 3 PM to 7 PM.
Thanks to the great support our customers have given us over the years, we are excited to announce that beginning November 1, we will be doing business under the name Grooves to Bits at 4700 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45440. Over the next week we will complete moving our operations from Town & Country to the new facility. While we continue to improve and expand our current digitization services, we will also be buying, selling, and trading used and new old media (records, CDs, audio and video tapes, etc.), accessories, and electronics in this location.

Our shop will be closed from Monday, September 8 through Thursday, September 11, as members of our staff will be participating in Rochester Institute of Technology's Open Community Experiment (ROCX). We plan to resume normal hours at 3 PM on Friday, September 12.

We use a very similar machine, the TASCAM 122mkII, to transfer your audio cassette tapes. As the curator for audiovisual media at the Smithsonian mentions here, such machines are no longer manufactured. We are always looking to procure, restore, maintain, and most importantly -- use -- this equipment.

Folks have been asking whether we can clean moldy VHS tapes. Now we can safely do so, along with many more tape formats, thanks to this gadget from VHS Is Life.

We closed the shop today to venture up to Botkins, OH and experience the eclipse. The cirrus clouds couldn't stop us from getting a nice photo during totality.

Getting the new screen ready for a customer to use for exploring their 8mm film collection. We’re open until 7 PM today.

We now have a very clean Canon S-400 dual format 8mm film projector for customers to preview their materials on before committing to a transfer. We advise making an appointment to ensure availability.
