Isaiah 60:1-3

“Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
3 Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Each school year we re-introduce ourselves for those who may not know our story, or those who might be wondering what this little, bitty school that talks so much about Jesus, is all about. lol.

Well, for that we have to introduce you to our beautiful mommy Constance Brown, or as the Sophia Learning Center students named her, Mom Mrs. Brown. 💕

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

For as long as we can remember our mom always worked with kids; in daycares, in schools, at church, and she would point all of us to Jesus.

Sophia Learning Center is a vision that God gave her when she was teaching in the schools in Cleveland.

Today, this sweet, little school is what she called a “training center,” where children are trained up according to Proverbs 22:6; utilizing wisdom principles from the Bible.

The other day, God brought the above scripture back to my remembrance. It was one of the promises that He gave her - to arise and SHINE ✨ for her light has come. So, I believe its time to share her story again. 🦋

The letter Bb!
Our students learned the letter b sound and drew some pictures of objects that start with B. They also did a pretty good job of writing capital and lowercase Bb.

Put some encouraging words in the comments that start with B! 🩵💛🌎💪🏾

💭 are back. And this week’s advice from our staff is:

Let.👏 Them.👏 Do.👏 It.👏 By.👏 Themselves.

Even if they don't do it as fast as you do it, or as neat as you would do it. Even if it's frustrating for you to watch them struggle. Let them do it.

Have you ever felt like everything was a big NO!? We have, and sometimes kids feel that way too. However, the no is not meant to hurt us. It’s for our safety, it helps us get through tough situations and teaches us how to stand our ground and even helps us form good boundaries.

We recently read two stories meant to help us learn school rules and help us learn to make better choices!

Looking for some good books to help your little ones with making good choices? Read No David and David Goes to School by David Shannon.
