Indian Riffle Park in ๐Ÿ“Kettering is my go-to when I need the kids to run. Like full sprint, across a field, burn-every-ounce-of-energy run. Big park. Creek involved. We're there 90 minutes minimum every time. ๐Ÿ’จ

Kettering doesn't come up enough in conversations about neighborhoods near Wright-Patterson AFB โ€” and that may be a mistake.

Forest Field Park in ๐Ÿ“Centerville is one of my favorite spots to take the kids when I need them to actually decompress. Wide open fields, a great accessible playground (and sensory play area!), and the bonus it connects to Bill Yeck Park walking trails ๐ŸŒณ

For military families PCS'ing to Wright-Patterson AFB who are thinking long-term โ€” Centerville is a great option.

Less starter homes, more established homes. These are the homes people buy when they decide Dayton is where they're staying โ€” military or not.

It's the most underpriced neighborhood near WPAFB for what you get โ€” and it's literally right next to base.

๐Ÿ“ 1,400โ€“2,200 sq ft โ€” bigger lots than you'd expect
๐Ÿ’ฐ $180kโ€“$280k โ€” the best value near WPAFB
โฑ 5โ€“10 min commute to Wright-Patterson โ€” the shortest in the area
๐Ÿ”ง A lot of them have been updated and move-in ready

Took the kids to Rotary Park in Beavercreek last weekend and it did not disappoint. Seven-acre lake, big playground, sandbox, walking path, and a skate park โ€” my kids bounced between all of it and I actually caught my breath for five minutes. ๐Ÿ˜…
