Do you know Fr. Mark Kiszelewski from St Cecelia? Traveling to, or through, the UK in the future? As of January 8th, 2025, you will be required to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to travel. Without one, you will be denied boarding, including for flights just transiting through UK airports.

The application process is simple and can be done online at www.gov.uk or by downloading the UK ETA app on your phone from the App Store or Google Play. You will need to upload or take photos of your passport and your face and have a credit card to charge the fee of (about) $13.00 USD.

You will receive a confirmation of app completion and then should receive approval in about three business day. It is suggested that you print a copy to carry with you when traveling, as a backup to the electronic approval which will be digitally attached to your passport information. ETAs are valid for two years or until the expiration of your passport, whichever comes first.
