Parents, no more feeling ashamed when our kids are struggling!
Sometimes our kids need more support than what we’re capable of giving. Their performance or behaviors are not a reflection of how good or bad of parent’s we are. And we shouldn’t feel embarrassed to seek out help!
I had a client tell me recently that she was so scared to contact me because she was worried that I would think she was a bad parent. She waited till she was past her breaking point to reach out for help.
Let's stop waiting and start supporting each other.
Let’s stop feeling embarrassment and shame and start taking pride in knowing our limitations as parents.
Your child's struggles are not a reflection of your parenting abilities. It takes courage to seek help, and it's okay to ask for support when needed.
💪Together, we can empower our children to thrive. Don't hesitate to reach out—I'm here to support you every step of the way.
I offer an initial complementary consultation - if you’re ready to reach out for some support message me TOGETHER and I’d be happy to share more details with you!

Struggling to find ways to support your child’s reading at home? You're not alone! Here are 4 tips to boost their reading skills at home:
1️⃣ Set aside dedicated time to read together. Let your child read books that are highly interesting to them and are at a just right level for them
2️⃣ Grab both print copies and audio books from the library for a multisensory experience you can enjoy together!
3️⃣ Make reading fun with family game nights featuring board games that require reading
4️⃣ Engage in verbal word games to practice word manipulation skills. Think rhyming, change the sound to make a new word, syllable counting. These can be done anywhere - car ride to soccer practice, at the dinner table, during bedtime routine!
Remember, practicing at home is great but please don't wait to seek help if your child is falling behind in reading!

Parents, save this for those days when you’re feeling down on yourself!
💛💛💛
The key to being a happier parent is remembering that your child is their own person
What do I mean by that?
Too often as parents, we consider our children an extension of ourselves. When our children are successful it feels like we are too. And the opposite is also true. When our children struggle with something it feels like we are the one failing.
Our self-worth as parents becomes tied up in the successes and failures of our children. And that’s not always true.
As parents, we are there to guide and teach our children as they learn and grow.
When we start seeing our children as their own person who is going to experience successful moments as well as failures (and we take our own self-esteem out of the equation) we’ll be better prepared to problem solve and support our children in the hard situations and when faced with failures, instead of getting stuck in our own emotions of embarrassment, sadness, and even anger.
If you’re a parent looking for more support or have a child that’s struggling at home or school I’d love to help you out.
