The Fall 2026 School of Fashion Welcome Mixer was one for the books!

Many merchandising and design students joined us during the event to create pencil bags in the lab. Here were some of our favorites! Thank you to everyone who stopped by today :)

A recap of the first workshop "Innovating Textiles with Color Dyeing and and Texturing" with Marie Rader from Clarity Colors

Students started off this series with an introduction to color and dyeing techniques! They explored their creativity through the medium of fabric dye. We are so excited to see what they get up to next Friday.

Introducing our latest Industry Workshop! Marie Rader from Clarity Colors is partnering with the TechStyle Lab to host her "Innovating Textiles with Color Dyeing and Texturing" workshop!

Marie is excited to share her knowledge and skills of color dyeing with you! Clarity Colors has generously donated all of the supplies and technology needed. Just be present and ready to explore the world of colors!

Marty Erbaugh i3 Lab Accelerator - Paid Summer Student Venture Support for Kent State Students!

This application is for student entrepreneurs looking to further their ventures in the Marty Erbaugh i3 Lab accelerator program in Summer 2024. This is a multi-week program designed to help teams advance their ventures to the next stage in their startup journey through connections to campus and regional resources, business model and business development, prototyping and other support.

Program includes a $2,500 stipend for all participants. Applications are due by this Friday, May 3rd at 5pm.

Be bold and creative! Show your work at our third annual KSU Virtual Fashion Show!
Develop an original design in CLO to be featured in our virtual fashion show. Apply the fabrics, prints, and textures to fully express your work and personalize your avatar's look and size. Looks will be accepted on a first-submit, first-reviewed basis.
Please submit as early as possible to guarantee a spot in the show.
TIMELINE:
March 15 - Application to submit closes (no extensions)
By April 5 - Acceptance Notification/meetings for adjustments or edits
April 23 - Virtual Fashion Show at the DI Hub Blank Lab
REQUIREMENTS:
- Submit your project ZPRJ file
- Avatar must be in A pose
- Maximum 2 looks per student
