Delta Pi Upsilon - Alpha Kent State

Delta Pi Upsilon Reunion for Homecoming weekend! We will be meeting on the band practice field at noon on Saturday! All are welcome!

As we approach one year since the beginning of quarantine, we will begin sharing our own stories of how music has gotten us through these hard times.

Delta Pi Upsilon stands in solidarity with our Black Brothers and POC musicians everywhere.

We implore all music-based organizations to actively support your POC members and be actively and apologetically vocal and anti-racist about any and all racism not only within your own organizations but also in the world at large.

Music organizations also stand in unique positions to tackle racial issues in the music world at the behest of your POC members.

Educate your members on the culture, origins, and history of the musics they play. Acknowledge and honor the incredible and creative contributions POC have brought to the craft we all love and perform with passion.

Remain not clueless. Be vocal. Be unapologetic. Support your fellow musician.

Meet Becca Jarden, our 2019-20 Membership Officer!!

Becca is a Human Development and Family Studies major with dreams to be an Adoption Counselor; she is also a wonderful vocalist!

Becca represented not only her faith but some of the best DPY has to offer this summer during her mission trip in Poland!

She is lover of nearly all things music and believes:

Happy (belated) Birthday SHOUT-OUT to Brother, and our 2019-20 Community Outreach Chair, Nicholas Taylor!

Nicholas is an Instrumental Music Education major and recent Art degree graduate, with the eventual goal to be a successful and effective music educator, composer, and sound artist.

Fun fact about Nicholas, he is a published artist and is currently a finalist for publication in the curated 1340 Art Magazine in the Netherlands!!
