AJAC Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeships
AJAC launched in 2008 to skill-up the aerospace and advanced manufacturing workforce through registered apprenticeship.
AJAC serves approximately 400 apprentices per year at close to 300 companies.

Spring quarter wraps up for our apprentices next week, but we're already looking ahead to the next class.
Today we welcomed Pedro from AD Systems in Everett as our newest machining apprentice. Even better, AD Systems is celebrating a milestone tomorrow as they graduate their first AJAC apprentice, Riwaaz.
Congratulations to Pedro on starting the journey, and congratulations to Riwaaz on reaching the finish line. We'll see you there in a few years, Pedro!
We're just 24 hours away from celebrating the AJAC Class of 2026!
As we wrap up our sponsor spotlights, we'd like to thank Travis Moore and the team at Jemco Components & Fabrication for joining us as a Title Sponsor this year.
Since 2015, Jemco has enrolled 11 apprentices in AJAC programs and has also hired graduates from our Manufacturing Academy pre-apprenticeship program. Founded in 1985, Jemco specializes in prototype and production machining, sheet metal fabrication, and contract assembly.
Thank you for a decade of partnership and for continuing to invest in the next generation of manufacturing professionals.
Just 48 hours until we celebrate 69 apprentice graduates at this year's commencement ceremony.
A special thank you to The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. for supporting graduation as a Friends of AJAC sponsor. One of our longest-standing employer partners, Lighthouse is celebrating two machinist graduates this year, including one apprentice who is completing their second AJAC apprenticeship.
Based in Seattle, Lighthouse for the Blind creates meaningful career opportunities for individuals who are blind while producing products for the federal government and precision machined components for the aerospace industry.
We're grateful for their partnership and their continued investment in apprenticeship!
Just two days until graduation!
We're excited to welcome back Hexcel Corporation as a Title Sponsor for this year's event. Since partnering with AJAC in 2014, Hexcel has enrolled 14 apprentices across several programs, including Tool & Die, Operations Specialist, Logistics Specialist, Maintenance Technician, and CNC Programmer.
Based in Kent, Hexcel manufactures advanced composite materials that help make aircraft, spacecraft, and wind turbines lighter, stronger, and more efficient.
Thank you, Hexcel, for supporting apprentices and investing in the future of manufacturing for the past 12 years.
We're proud to welcome back Top Drawer Media as a Title Sponsor of this year's graduation and our longest-running graduation sponsor.
Founded by Dean Cameron and based at Felts Field in Spokane, Top Drawer Media helps companies tell their stories through publishing, marketing, website design, trade show displays, and industry-focused advertising. They are also the team behind NW Aerospace News, Aerospace Vendors, and Let's Go Aerospace.
Thank you to Dean and the entire Top Drawer Media team for your continued support of AJAC apprentices and manufacturing workforce development in Washington.
We're excited to welcome MITUTOYO AMERICA CORPORATION as a Supporting Sponsor of this year's graduation.
For the past several years, Mitutoyo has helped AJAC apprentices train with the same precision measurement tools used throughout the manufacturing industry. From height gauges and CMMs to profilometers, bore gauges, calipers, and micrometers, their equipment gives apprentices hands-on experience with the tools they'll use on the job.
Their partnership helps ensure our students are learning with industry-standard equipment every day they step into an AJAC lab.
Thank you, Mitutoyo, for your continued support of apprenticeship and manufacturing education!
We're just four days away from graduation, and today we're recognizing RTC Aerospace, the sponsor of our inaugural Instructor of the Year Award.
RTC has been an AJAC employer partner since 2009, and this year they're celebrating two milestones: their first Logistics Specialist graduate and their first CNC Programmer graduate.
With a facility right here in Fife, RTC builds critical components for the aerospace and defense industries through precision machining, large structural assemblies, lean cell production, and Swiss turning.
Thank you, RTC, for your long-standing partnership and commitment to developing the next generation of manufacturing talent!

Congratulations to the AJAC apprentices who were recognized this week at the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship banquet in the Tri-Cities.
The oversized checks may have been just for the photo, but the support behind them is very real.
Through the Career & Technical Scholarship, these apprentices can receive up to $1,500 per quarter, every quarter, to help cover tuition and other expenses like housing, transportation, and food while they complete their training.
We're proud that 12 AJAC apprentices have received this scholarship and grateful to see them recognized for their hard work and commitment to their careers.
We're just one week away from graduation, and today we're giving a shoutout to Toolcraft, one of AJAC's longtime employer partners and this year's graduation photo booth sponsor.
Since 2015, Toolcraft has enrolled 23 apprentices in AJAC programs. This year, they're celebrating a special milestone as 19-year-old machinist Myles completes his AJAC Youth Apprenticeship and becomes their newest journey-level apprentice.
Thank you, Toolcraft, for investing in the next generation of manufacturing talent. We can't wait to celebrate with you next week!

Congratulations to AvtechTyee on enrolling their newest apprentice, Dominic, in AJAC's Logistics Specialist apprenticeship program this week.
Over the next 18 months, Dominic will build skills in supply chain operations, inventory and warehouse management, ERP systems, LEAN and Six Sigma foundations, communication, and leadership. It's a hands-on pathway that helps people grow into key logistics roles while supporting stronger, more efficient operations.
We're excited to be part of Dominic's journey and look forward to seeing what's ahead! Learn more about our program: https://www.ajactraining.org/occupations/logistics-specialist/
