Threads Of Grace

Some seasons stretch our faith more than others.

This has been one of those seasons for me.

I’ve found myself praying the same prayers, carrying the same concerns, and wishing I could change things that are completely outside of my control. I’ve also been reminded how quickly life can change as our family grieves the loss of a loved one.

The Lord has been teaching me that surrender is not giving up, it is giving over.

Giving over the people we love.
Giving over our fears.
Giving over our questions.
Giving over the outcomes we desperately want to control.

Psalm 55:22 says, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.”

Not “carry it a little longer.”
Not “figure it out first.”

Just cast it on Him.

Today, if your heart feels heavy, know that God is not asking you to carry it alone. He is inviting you to place it in His hands.

The burden may still be there, but when it’s in His hands, it no longer has to be in yours.
