It's rainy season, which means so much mud.
Our pigs' water barrel fell over because it was so muddy. If you know pigs, you know they are destructive.
I had to move the darn thing to a whole new spot, all while those darn pigs are trying to eat my boots and cover me in mud.
If you don't like problem solving and fixing things, I don't recommend raising animals 🤣

I tell people I don't gamble. But I garden.
I feel like they are the same 🤣
I planted tomato seeds in February never in my life thinking they would get so big!
Welp out to the garden they go and we shall see how they do.

Mother nature is laughing in our face, so I'm manifesting Spring by planting more seeds.

I've seen a new seed starting method that I've been wanting to try.

It's called the snail method. You roll your soil with a plastic bag of some sort and place your seeds in the top, bottom water, and hope for the best!

Soaking up as much sun as possible!
Getting our pig pen ready! Clearing the fence line and all the dead stuff.

Days like today make me want spring so badly!
We are prepping the pig shelter for new pigs this spring.
Knocked down some pretty gnarly wasp nests!
One of my favorite trees!

It's always something...
My rooster learned he could fly the coop and it got him eaten.
A coyote had the audacity to come into my barn and snag him 😡
So now I have to put chicken wire over the top of their inside run AND find a new rooster...ugh!

Taking care of animals, in what feels like negative temps, while sick, is not for the weak. It sucks!
But, the chickens are stocked on kitchen scraps, water, and straw.
Some critters ransacked the barn. Probably raccoons. Annoying. Thankfully there wasn't much for them to take, but they sure had fun knocking everything over to find something.
